Using PowerPoint as a multimedia tool
Microsoft PowerPoint is a multimedia presentation program. It can be used to create dynamic presentations that include graphics, animation, sound, video and more. But PowerPoint can go far beyond the typical presenting information overkill.
PowerPoint is a wonderful tool for learning in both a student and teacher-directed situation. It can add a new dimension to learning allowing teachers to explain abstract concepts, while accommodating all learning styles. Used properly, PowerPoint can be one of the most powerful tools for disseminating information ever known. Employed inappropriately, PowerPoint could potentially confuse students and make learning a difficult process.

PowerPoint is not just for presentations. You will have opportunities to use this presentation program to create graphically enhanced information and instructions for learning centers, create tutorials, reviews, or quizzes for individual students and display student work and curriculum materials for student led conferences and evaluations.
This assignment is designed for you to demonstrate your proficiency for using PowerPoint and your ability to integrate technology to meet curricular goals. You are required to create a PowerPoint in a non-linear application (traditional presentation will not meet the requirement) to actively engage your students in the learning process.
